Yes, you read it right. I wrote it right. Newborn’s teeth health. Every mom wants only the best for her child. But there are some things that are less popular about the teeth of the newborns. They’re not in the mouth but they’re inside the jaws. The teeth are not ready to erupt. The body still builds them.
What you should know about the milk teeth? There are 5 very important things.
1. These teeth will be in your child’s mouth around 6-10 years.
2. They’re important for proper chewing, speaking and mental health as well.
3. Their proper erudition is directly related to the way of feeding your baby
4. The primary dentition determines how the jaws develops.
5. The right jaws development is important for the right alignment of the permanent teeth.
Here I’d like to talk about the ways of baby feeding. There’re two ways: breastfeeding(natural) and bottle feeding. Why is it important for its teeth?
When the baby is breastfeeding it has to suck a lot. Scientists says that it helps teeth to erupt on time. Also, you should know that it’s not good to let the baby fall asleep on the breast. Feed it active no more than 15 min. Don’t let the baby fall asleep with the baby bottle, too. Baby’s jaws grow and develop fast and it could cause some deformations like open bite.
If you feed your newborn with bottles there is one very important thing you should know. The shape of the soother meters. It has to be type NUK. They’re anatomically near to women’s breast so they won’t cause the deformations. The second thing is that you’re NOT ALLOWED to widen the openings. They should stay as a factory set. The idea is that the baby got to suck the contents of the bottle, not pour it into its mouth.
This topic is very broad, I’ll continue in my next blog posts. If you have any questions feel free to post them in the comments. If you thing that kind of posts are helpful for you, please let me know and subscribe for my blog.
